Cooking methodsAngostura is a very bitter liquor with 40% alcohol, it is collected from the bark of the angostura tree, from cloves, enzian and bitter orange.

Angostura is so bitter that it has to be used in very small quantities, but used properly it can be added to desserts, fish and meat meals or for various cocktails.
