Aniseed
originally comes from the Mediteranean region and is often used
for baking. Aniseed is a little bit sweet and spicy and isn’t
just used for sweet dishes.
It is used in soups and bread making. Aniseed
is also good for the digestion and as an effective cough linctus
because of it’s soothing and anti-bacterial qualities.
Of course we can’t forget the famous
anissed schnapps, like the Turkish raki, the Greek ouzo and French
pernod.
