Basil
is often used with shellfish and meat dishes, and of course it
compliments tomatoes beautifully.
Basil can encourage the appetite and helps
the body cope better with fat. The best way of always having a
fresh supply of basil, is to grow it yourself in a pot on the
window sill, where it needs a lot of sunlight.
Basil helps with stomach infections, kramps
and urine infections. You shouldn’t eat to much of this
useful herb though, as it has been found to have a substance that
can encourage cancer.
