be made, some need more sugar than others depending on how much
pectin the fruit has.
Preserving sugar certainly gives the
best results. Whole fruit jams can be made, thus adding the sugar
at once to the whole fruit and then cooking the two together,
or first the fruit can be cooked until soft, and then the sugar
added.
