There
are many different types of soups, consomme, cream soups, main meal
soups…In earlier days soup was the main food that people eat.
Over the years the recipes changed, more herbs and spices were added,
others left out and slowly soup wasn’t just seen as something
only the poor eat.
Vegetable soups are now made to coincide with
the different vegetables that are in season, cream of carrot soup,
french onion soup, potatoe soup, the list is almost unending.
Meat soups are often made with beef, plus vegetables, or who hasn’t
made a delicious soup using a chicken carcass, left over from
a Sunday roast.
