Spirit vinegars

Spirit vinegars are produced from spirit wines and have as a base sugar beet. Potatoes and grains are also added which have little aroma and are tasteless, this is then added by manufactured means.

This is, unfortunately the most widely used vinegar, because it is easy and therefore cheap to manufacture. The somewhat better varieties of spirit vinegars have wine vinegar and colouring added to them.
