herbs anad spices are also added. The tomatoes are skinned and
mixed with the other ingredients, the addition of conservatives
produces a ketchup that has a long shelf life.
Ketchup doesn’t have to be bought, it’s not
so difficult to make your own, of course adapting the above ingredients
to get the taste you want.
The main ingredients, the tomatoes, have to be skinned, blanched
and pureed, before all the other ingredients are added. Lemon
juice, onions, different spices can all be added to make your
own original ketchup.

Mild ketchup
Loved by children, mild ketchup tastes great
on their chips! It can be added to sauces as it won’t overpower
other flavours.
Spicy ketchup
More loved by the grown-ups! Added to sauces,
it can give them a real `bite´. Also good with grilled food.
Curry ketchup, mild and hot.
Great with barbecued food and for spicing
up sauces.
